Lukas Hinkelmann
Founder

Filmmaker and social worker

At the end of his work and travel trip through India and Australia, Lukas was introduced to hemp by a female indigenous community leader and social entrepreneur in the Nepalese Himalayas.

He was thrilled to learn about the many benefits and aspects of this wild plant and realised that the right to use hemp meant to have a right to life.

Back in Berlin, he founded a social hemp business and started studying Asian Studies at the Humboldt University Berlin.

A year after his first hemp encounter, he travelled back to Nepal to investigate and film the source of his hemp products.

Stunned by the sustainable and social aspects of hemp, Lukas converted his hemp enterprise into LET IT HEMP, a film project which aims to inspire people about the multiple benefits of hemp for individuals as well as the environment. This includes the importance of implementing hemp for the 2030 sustainable development goals.
